View from Tokyo Tower

Opened in 1958, the Tokyo Tower is a bit higher (333 mt) than its French “cousin” the Eiffel Tower (321 mt).

Its main observation platform is at 150 mt whereas the special observation platform is at 250 mt.

The view over Tokyo is absolutely breathtaking ! 

Imado shrine

In my office, at home, in my bag or in my wallet, I have Maneki Neko everywhere !!!!

I am sure that they bring good luck ! This is the reason why I have really enjoyed my visit at Imado Shrine ! 

Asakusa Samba Carnival

Rio de Janeiro ? No ! ...Tokyo !

Asakusa Samba Carnival is held on the last Saturday of August since 1981.

Most tourists do not expect to see  Samba teams competing in the streets of Tokyo ! It is probably because they do not know that Brazil has the largest Japanese community outside of Japan, and therefore both countries have strong cultural ties.

An amazing spectacle !
